When a
system-of-systems is the best solution...
In today’s homeland security technology environment, massive amounts of data are being sent and received on a continual basis. Data from intelligent sensors, GPS, GIS, video and other information sources have grown tremendously over the last several years. But for this data to be useful, it must be managed correctly. Data must be converted to actionable information, and that information must be sent to the right people at the right time through any available communication modality. The platform provides a sophisticated array of modules that provide comprehensive rules management, UI management and functionality. Once the secure foundation has been implemented, it’s merely a matter of adding whatever 3rd Party Vendor modules and applications that an integrator desires. The platform includes several CHAIN modules of its own, such as templates for digital response plans, collaboration capabilities and alert and communication. To create the system-of-systems that is necessary to manage and coordinate the national response to large-scale acts of terrorism, natural disasters, or other emergencies, CHAIN has the ability to ingest information from several different applications and technologies. Once added, CHAIN views the application as a module to the system that it will manage access-to. The functional diagram below depicts this architecture. Functional Diagram of Platform
The standards-based Invizeon CHAIN platform is open and modular in design. The main features of the platform are:
